AI will survive: The AI Leadership programme gives leaders the frameworks and confidence to integrate AI effectively

Warwick Business School has announced the launch of its AI Leadership programme, a two-day executive education course designed to help senior leaders harness the transformative power of artificial intelligence.

Delivered at WBS London at The Shard, the AI Leadership programme aims to equip executives with the strategic insight and practical tools needed to lead AI-driven change effectively.

“AI is no longer a distant concept or an emerging technology - it’s here, and it’s reshaping every sector,” said Neha Gupta, Programme Director and Assistant Professor of Information Systems Management at WBS. “Participants will not only gain insights on cutting edge AI, this programme is also about moving beyond the buzzwords and giving leaders the frameworks, confidence, and mindset to integrate AI responsibly and effectively into their organisations.”

Unlike technical AI courses, the AI Leadership programme focuses on strategic application rather than coding. Over two intensive days, participants will explore how AI can drive innovation, improve decision-making, and create a competitive advantage.

The AI for senior managers course blends theory with hands-on tools, so participants will leave with resources they can take straight to their organisation to start the digital transformation, such as:

  • Personalised AI leadership assistant: A digital tool tailored to participants’ industry context for real-time support
  • AI integration roadmap: A customised plan identifying high-value use cases, cultural enablers, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Digital twin simulation: A safe environment to test AI-driven strategies before implementing them
  • Strategic scenario toolkit: Practical resources for applying AI frameworks to organisational challenges.

The AI executive course is designed for senior executives and business leaders - from CEOs and CTOs to Heads of Innovation - who are responsible for shaping strategy and driving transformation.

Participants will become part of a global peer network, enabling collaboration and knowledge exchange long after the course ends, while they will be able to take new skills and knowledge on machine learning and AI back to their organisation.

The course will help senior managers identify processes ripe for AI-driven reinvention, such as the customer experience or R&D, by studying real-world case studies.

Dr Gupta said: “We will teach participants how to leverage AI for strategy development, from ideation to implementation. In the new AI age it will be those companies that can enhance it best that will succeed and that means they need a deep understanding of AI.

“Companies that adeptly navigate this transition by establishing robust data infrastructures, a strategic plan for AI implementation and fostering effective human-AI collaboration models, stand not only to maximise efficiencies, but also pioneer new business models that transcend traditional industry boundaries.

Bridging the AI leadership gap

“Many organisations are investing heavily in AI technologies, especially generative AI, but leadership capability often lags behind. The biggest barrier to AI adoption isn’t technology - it’s leadership readiness. Our programme bridges that gap by helping senior managers anticipate disruption, design AI-enhanced strategies, and lead change at scale.

“The course will help leaders who want to move from reactive adaptation to proactive innovation.

“AI leadership isn’t about algorithms - it’s about vision. It’s about understanding how to leverage technology to create value, manage risk, and lead responsibly in a world that’s changing faster than ever.”
