European Elite: WBS has been ranked among Europe's top 20 for the eighth consecutive year

Warwick Business School has once again secured its position among Europe’s elite with the Financial Times naming it in Europe’s top 20.

The Financial Times European Business School Rankings placed WBS 18th in Europe and third in the UK, meaning it has been a constant among Europe’s top 20 business schools for the last eight years.

This latest ranking success comes after the School’s MBA programme was named second among the world’s ‘large’ business schools for sustainability in the Better World MBA ranking by Corporate Knights, and four Master’s courses were included in the world’s top 20 by the QS Business Masters Ranking

Andy Lockett, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Dean of WBS, said: “We are proud to be consistently ranked among Europe’s leading business schools.

“Warwick Business School is for the Change Makers where bold thinkers turn their ambition into action.

“We believe big ideas need to be put into action. It’s not enough to imagine the future - you have to help build it. That’s why we focus on real-world learning that turns insight into impact, from day one.

“Our CareersPlus team, with connections to some of the biggest companies in the world like JP Morgan, Barclays, and Unilever, alongside the support we provide with our alumni services, ensure anybody coming to WBS gets the help and opportunities to find the career they dream of.”

The Financial Times European Business School Rankings aggregates business schools’ performance across five of the media outlet’s rankings over the year: the Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, Masters in Management, and two categories of Executive Education.

Schools are assessed on factors such as alumni salary progression, international mobility, faculty diversity, and research output.

WBS was ranked 18th in Europe for its Executive MBA, while also being named eighth in the world for career progress. Meanwhile its MSc Management was ranked second in the UK and number one in its home country for salary increase.

And in 2025 the School climbed 11 places in the Financial Times’ Executive Education Open Ranking to secure joint 19th globally, with its Full-time MBA ranked sixth in the UK and 17th in Europe.

Professor Lockett added: “It has been a momentous year for the School. As well as our ranking success we won Best Digital Transformation Award at the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2025 for our £1.2m SmartStage® virtual classroom, which is revolutionising online learning with extended reality technology.

“We joined the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and integrated AI and sustainability into two Master’s courses - the MSc Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence and MSc Accounting & Sustainability.

“Innovation is in the School’s DNA, and we will continue to bring new ideas and thinking to our educational offerings, with our investment in digital technology providing exciting opportunities.”
