Our careers, leadership and professional development services are tailored to your individual needs and fully integrated into the programme, providing an excellent way to supercharge your career, leadership skills and earning potential. 

As well as a range of webinars and online resources, you'll have access to three different elements of 1-2-1 career support; unlimited career consultations, one leadership coaching session and the option to join our award-winning mentoring programme. Ensuring you leave WBS feeling confident to make your next career move.

And our career services don’t stop when you complete your programme. You'll still be able to access online resources, one career consultation and our Professional Interest Groups for free. You’ll also be able to access additional services on a pay as you go basis.

Coaching and career development support 

  • Unlimited career consultations with one of our highly-trained CareersPlus experts during the programme. Your sessions can cover typical careers topics such as CV reviews and practice interviews, but can also cover wider career issues such as career clarity and confidence, influence and visibility, politics, emotional wellbeing, redundancy management, strategic networking and tapping into the hidden job market

  • 1 x 1 hour session of leadership coaching with a Leadership Coach drawn from the WBS Coaching Panel. Our Leadersip Coaches are experienced in tackling challenges that you maybe experiencing, such as dealing with setbacks, navigating politics at work, imposter syndrome and much more. You may also extend your coaching relationships by purchasing further sessions

  • Bespoke Leadership & Development workshops, keynotes, panels and networking opportunities, held during your residential weeks, covering how to lead yourself and lead others

  • Skills webinars covering topics such as Salary Negotiation, Presenting to the Board, Managing Workplace Politics, The 2 Hour Job Search, and The First 90 Days

  • Engage with alumni in C-suite positions to discuss possible options for solving a real-life challenge. This will give you insight into the world of C-Suite executives and allow you to put some of your MBA learning into practice.

  • The Change Maker Series – Practitioner lectures provide an insight into different industries, and the opportunity to network with students on other MBA formats. Additional career services

As well as the comprehensive leadership and development programme you’ll experience during your MBA, you can choose to access enhanced services for an additional cost:  

  • Additional Leadership Coaching from our WBS Coaching Panel. You can choose one session for £125, three sessions for £350 or a total of six sessions for £675
  • Access to our award-winning WBS Global Mentoring Programme, which has been accredited by Investors in People (IiP). 

Building your network

As part of each residential week there will be pre-planned networking sessions with a lecture delivered by a business leader. 

You will also have access to our LinkedIn groups, discussion forums, and networks. Wherever you are in the world, you can build a flexible, personalised network that meets your needs.

Our main platforms are LinkedIn and Whatsapp and you can join as many groups as you like, whether that's based on your career goals, personal or professional interests or the region that you live and/or work.

Each network hosts dedicated events, where you can access sector insights, hear from speakers from industry, gain careers guidance and professional development opportunities and of course, reconnect with old classmates.

Beyond graduation

Your connection with Warwick doesn’t end once you’ve completed your studies. As a WBS alumni, you can still access our excellent online career resources and enjoy one free career consultation after graduation. You can also access enhanced services for an additional cost.

After graduation, you will also have the opportunity to apply to undertake up to two further face-to-face modules at Warwick and The Shard, free of charge, subject to availability. These modules are not for credit.

WBS Global Mentoring Programme

Exclusively for WBS students and alumni, and accredited by Investors in People, our 12-month programme matches mentees with a mentor from our alumni community.

Why become a mentee?

  • Gain advice and guidance from an experienced professional
  • Grow your network and develop your soft skills.

As part of the programme you can join the mentoring LinkedIn group and attend a range of dedicated events throughout the year. Mentors and mentees can be based anywhere; we have a growing pool of mentors and mentees in different countries. Please note, there is a one-off fee for mentees.
