Top marks: The School's MSc Marketing & Strategy has been ranked sixth in the world and first in the UK by QS

Warwick Business School has cemented its position among the world's leading providers of business education with four Master's programmes named in the global top 20.

As well as the MSc Marketing & Strategy being ranked sixth in the world - and number one for UK Universities - the QS Global MBA and Business Master's Rankings saw the School placed third in the country and 14th globally for the Master's in Business Analytics.

Higher education analysts QS also ranked WBS 14th in the world and fourth in the UK for the Master's in Management, while it is 19th globally and sixth in the country for the Master's in Finance, and its Full-time MBA rose one place to fifth in the UK and 30th in the world.

Andy Lockett, Dean and Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, said: “Employers increasingly seek graduates who combine specialist expertise with analytical and leadership skills, while prospective students are scrutinising value for money and career outcomes more closely than ever. Our results suggest we are succeeding on all these fronts.

"These rankings reflect the consistent strength of our programmes and the dedication of our faculty, professional staff, students and alumni.

"To have four Master's programmes ranked in the global top 20 is a significant achievement and reinforces our position as one of the world's leading business schools.

"The rankings recognise not only academic excellence but also the impact our graduates have in organisations around the world. At WBS we teach students to think boldly and not just to imagine the future, but make it – this is why we are the School for Change Makers.”

The School’s Full-time MBA recorded a substantial improvement in its ‘value for money’ measure, rising from 27th to 10th in the world. The programme also made gains in ‘employability’ and ‘thought leadership’ metrics.

Thought leadership was also a strong category for WBS in the Master's in Management, where the School was rated seventh in the world, boosting its overall ranking to its highest ever position.

For the Master’s in Finance WBS is ranked 22nd in the world for employability. As well as the ranked MSc Finance programme, the School also has the MSc Finance & Economics, MSc Finance & Management, MSc Mathematical Finance, and MSc Business with Finance courses.

Employability for students boosted in QS rankings

The School also saw a rise in employability for the Master’s in Business Analytics, with it now 17th in the world. WBS has recently revamped the course to include the latest developments in AI, renaming it MSc Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence

WBS is fourth in the world for thought leadership and 11th for employability for the Master’s in Marketing. The ranking is based solely on the School's MSc Marketing & Strategy, but students can also learn about marketing on MSc Business with Marketing and the new MSc Marketing & Consumer Behaviour

Ross Ritchie, Associate Dean for Postgraduate Business and Management Programmes, said: "Students want programmes that combine academic rigour with strong career prospects and an international learning experience. These rankings show that WBS continues to deliver on all three.

"The consistency of our performance across marketing, finance, management, business analytics and the Full-time MBA highlights the quality of the student experience and the relevance of our programmes to employers. It also reflects the strength of our global alumni network and the impact of our research-led teaching."
