Having already held several highly popular events, including talks from Vice-Chairman of Ogilvy and Mather Rory Sutherland and Head of Design for google Patrick Collister, Warwick Marketing Society is pleased to announce its most exciting event of the year so far: Warwick Marketing Conference. The event will take place on March 8th in room M1.

The first nationwide Marketing Conference in the UK, the conference sets a precedent in its magnitude. We have been fortunate enough to unite six of the brightest minds in marketing; people with the power to actively shape its future. They will give their views on the changing nature of marketing, as well as the challenges facing it in future. The line-up is a who's who contemporary marketing, just take a look at them below.

Ryan van Rooijen, described by Patrick Collister as the brightest mind he has met at Google, is currently Global Insights Leader at the company. He has had a diverse career since graduating with an MBA from Oxford, having produced an independent film, running his own web consultancy and rapidly rising through the ranks at Google. His speech will address recent innovations in the fields of Tech/Ents/Design, and will highlight the universal truths that underpin these developments. Have a look at Ryan speaking here.

Sarah Ellis, recently made one of Management Today's top 35 women under 35, is the current head of corporate responsibility at Sainsbury's; but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Currently undertaking a part-time course in  leadership at Harvard, she has occupied several positions at Sainsbury's, including Head of PR and Head of Content, as well as occupying senior positions at Barclays and Glaxo Smith Kline. On top of this she has founded her own successful company, AmazingIf. She will be speaking on the topic of staying creative and curious as an intrapreneur. Andre Campbell, has a remarkably distinguished career given his young age. Currently working as a Brand Strategist for Wolff Olins, the minds behind the 2012 Olympic Campaign, his work as an entrepreneur would impress even the most sceptical observer. Companies he has worked with include the BBC, Google, Channel 4, Facebook, Nokia, Freud communications, Omnicom Media Group; he has even been called in to advise the Number 10 Downing Street. He is the founder of Enfuse Youth, a company which stimulates the growth of intrapeneurial start-ups, and is the co-founder of the Spirit of London Awards. Howard Nead, has extensive experience of the media agency business, from both local and international perspectives. He is currently Chief Growth Officer at IPG Mediabrands, one of the world's premier advertising and marketing services companies, where he manages international client development for Mediabrands' global media networks and specialist agencies. He has previously been Worldwide Business Development Director for PHD Media, handling major clients such as Sony and GlaxoSmithKline. Abigail Brown, is an expert in social marketing and behaviour change. She is currently Head of Health marketing for Cancer Research UK. Her role aims to change behaviour via campaigns to promote cancer prevention and early diagnosis to health professionals and the public. She has previously been a marketing manager at Marie Curie, and has held various marketing roles in the banking sector, at Citibank, Bank of Australia and NatWest. She studied French and German at Manchester, and holds an MBA from Warwick. She plans on giving a speech on using advertising to change people's methods of behaviour. Shaun Wootton, is a communications professional with over 20 years specializing in global communications. He is co-founder of OTTO, a London based communications agency which works with healthcare and technology clients such as General Electric and Acer to define their PR strategies. He was previously senior vice president at Waggener Edstrom - one of the largest independent global PR agencies and ran their operations in London, Paris, Munich and Singapore over eight years.
