23 Miles per Minute : The IconicTechnology of Concorde

Warwick Technology Professional network is proud to announce a special presentation from former Concorde pilot Christopher Orlebar. 

Christopher Orlebar is a former British Concorde pilot with British Airways and is well known for as a lecturer, writer and frequent contributor to TV aviation documentaries on aviation subjects and in particular Concorde.  Orlebar's book The Concorde Story has been a bestseller since its publication in 1986 and remains the most complete record of the history of Concorde. 

In this special presentation Christopher Orlebar will present the technological architecture that allowed an aircraft to  fly at 23 miles per minute; faster than a speeding bullet, faster than the earth rotates.  he will also share his experience of flying the iconic super-sonic marvel and imagine the future of commercial supersonic travel.
