A panel of speakers will talk about their organisations, what they look for in a candidate and how they moved into the world of Buy-Side; giving their views and ideas on how to enter the marketplace and how to broaden your network.

This event will give you the opportunity to spot talent, gain new ideas to the latest thinking, and speak to  seasoned professionals in this field.

The event will run from 6:00-7:00pm, and will be followed by a networking reception that will run until approximately 8:30pm.

Khayyam Jumani, Associate Banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank

Khayyam is responsible for UK resident entrepreneur and corporate executive client coverage. He is responsible for client advisory, discretionary investment management, credit relationships and for developing business principally in the High Net Worth Market in the UK .
Khayyam joined J.P. Morgan as a Corporate Banking Strategy Analyst, working as part of a team to expand the business in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and later joined the UK Private Bank. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Khayyam worked as a Management Consultant for Logica Consulting.
Khayyam holds a Masters of Science in Strategic Management (with Distinction) from Warwick Business School and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science (Gold Medallist) from SZABIST (Karachi, Pakistan). Khayyam is also an IMC and IAD qualified individual. Khayyam is an active member of the British Pakistan Foundation and the Warwick Business School Alumni.

 

Eric Cloutier, Director, Restructuring, Deal Advisory - Financial Services at KPMG UK

Tom Thorp, Director, Private Equity, Forsight Group

Tom is a Director in Foresight’s Private Equity team responsible for key investment activities such as deal origination, transactions, portfolio management and exit planning. He sits on the Board of 6 portfolio companies including TFC Europe, and industrial fasteners and springs distributor in Europe, Specac International, a scientific instrumentation accessories business that sells 80% of its products outside of the UK and AppInstitute, a mobile app developer with a Software as a Service business model for UK and US SMEs. These businesses range in size from £1m turnover to £20 million turnover. Prior to joining Foresight in 2008, Tom worked for KPMG Advisory in the UK and Germany.

 

 

Gail McManus, Founder and Managing Director of PER.

Gail has an MBA from London Business School and has worked in Private Equity for over thirty years. Gail originally worked on the investment side at 3i before moving to recruitment when she started PER in 1997. She has placed hundreds of people in private equity and worked with many more to help them develop their careers. PER now has a global reach with offices in UK, Germany, Hong Kong and Mexico and makes placements globally.
