We are delighted to announce that Nick Eastwood, Chief Executive of Wasps will be joining us at the WBS Warwick Campus for our next presentation in the Business Leader Series.
An Oxford graduate, Nick joined Wasps as CEO in 2012 and was instrumental in instigating and managing the club’s successful move from High Wycombe to Coventry. Before this, he helped to grow the RFU's net worth from £35m to £180m and profits from a loss of £5m to profit of £15m. An ICAEW-qualified accountant, Nick was previously Global Head of Corporate Services at The Body Shop International PLC and held senior management roles at Arthur Andersen and Lifetime Corporation USA. The Business Leader Series was originally created to mark the 50th Anniversary of WBS. It was so well-received by both speakers and audiences, we are delighted to have extended this now highly-regarded Series for a further year.
Speaker Biography
Nick Eastwood is the Chief Executive of the Wasps Group and has been on the Board of Directors since 2014. Together with Derek Richardson, Chairman and majority shareholder, he was instrumental in instigating and managing the club’s successful move from High Wycombe to Coventry. He played a key role in the process of acquiring the Ricoh Arena and, following a period in the role as Deputy Chairman has overall responsibility for the performance of the Wasps Group.
Nick, an Oxford graduate, joined Wasps on the back of a successful 12-year spell with the RFU, helping to grow the RFU's net worth from £35m to £180m and profits from a loss of £5m to profit of £15m while playing a key role in steering the governing body through an economic downturn.
Prior to his role with the RFU, the ICAEW-qualified accountant spent five years with The Body Shop International PLC as its Global Head of Corporate Services, and has previously held senior management roles at powerhouse accounting firm Arthur Andersen and Lifetime Corporation USA a $1bn turnover health care services company.
