Ilana Shanks joins us from Stony Brook University,College of Business, New York, where she is currently an Assistant Professor of Marketing. She received her PhD from Florida State University. her research examines how the presence of advanced technology, and more specifically robots, in the marketplace impacts consumers’ responses and behaviours.
Ilana’s research has been published in the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Consumer Affairs, and the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. Before pursuing a doctoral degree, Ilana worked in ultra-high net worth private wealth management for twelve years, including five years at UBS Financial Services and seven years at Merrill Lynch.
