Warwick Women's Professional Network & the Antarctic Fire Angels

The Warwick Women's Professional Network is thrilled to welcome the Antarctic Fire Angels who will speak at this virtual event about their professional roles in the Fire and Rescue Service and their training for the challenge of their Antarctic expedition: skiing coast-to-coast in November 2023, covering 1,900 Km, pulling 85 Kg pulks (supply sleds) in temperatures as low as -50’, in wind speeds of over 60mph over approximately 70 days. That’s around 27 Km every day.

They will attempt to attain a World Record as the team would be the first all female emergency services team to achieve this whilst eradicating gender stereotypes and increasing awareness of the impact of poor mental health, conquering this route using mind and muscle power.

Please join us in welcoming the Angels to Warwick, celebrating resilience, leadership and team work.
