Meet Our Panel Experts

James Hayton

James Hayton, PhD (Georgia State University) is Pro-Dean and Professor of Innovation and HRM at WBS. He holds a J. Robert Beyster Fellowship for the study of employee equity compensation and profit sharing at Rutgers University (US) and is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for the Future of Work. His areas of expertise are the management of people and organizations to build capacity for innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic renewal. Author of over 100 articles, reports, and several books in both innovation and human resource management, his work has been recognized with several awards and is rated as one of the world's top 2% of researchers by citations. James is currently investigating the adoption of AI into companies, as well as its implications.

Elaine Ng

Elaine Ng is the founder and CEO of AI Shophouse, a boutique AI consultancy that focuses on empowering individuals and organisations to accelerate their AI journeys by reskilling and upskilling in AI.

Elaine is a career technologist who started her career in Sydney as a C++ developer, before moving to London, New York, San Francisco and now Singapore. She has worked as a technology specialist and educator for companies such as JP Morgan, Standard Chartered Bank, and General Assembly. She specialises in bringing complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, by combining her deep technical knowledge with her exceptional communication skills.

Elaine is passionate about technology inclusion, especially in emerging technologies such as AI. She is currently completing a doctorate at Warwick Business School in the UK, focusing on AI narratives and storytelling techniques to enable more effective AI communication.

Raymond Chao

As a Senior Vice President at Citi, Raymond leads the data adoption and risk and control function for the Federated Chief Data Office, overseeing compliance across ASEAN global functions for consumer and institutional services. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services and consulting industry, he has a proven track record of building the advisory business and delivering a range of projects for business transformation, regulatory change, data governance, and business continuity planning. Having graduated in 2002 from a full-time MBA, he is passionate about driving the data agenda and coaching the next generation of compliance data leaders.

Jo Brown

Jo is the Business Development and Strategic Alliance Director in A*Star/IMCB where she is responsible for business development activities for cross-Research Institutes industry positioning grants, managing joint research collaborations and early-stage spin-outs. Her expertise covers program planning/execution for early and late-stage development projects, leading cross-functional teams, alliance management, asset acquisitions/divestitures, valuations and deal terms negotiations.
