WBS Europe Alumni Network Event: AI and the future of work

We are excited to announce that the launch of the WBS Europe Alumni Network will take place on Tuesday 9 April 2024. Open to all WBS Alumni living or working in the UK, this in-person event will enable WBS alumni, experts, and industry leaders to connect and debate the challenges and opportunities of AI, decision-making, and the future of work.

Participate in a panel discussion exploring topics such as:

Decision-making: How can we ensure that AI decision-making is fair and transparent?
The Future of Work: What applications does/will AI have in the workplace?
WBS Research Applications in Professional Settings: How can WBS research be applied?

Join us on Tuesday 9 April at The Shard to engage in thought-provoking debate, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities for those passionate about reshaping the corporate landscape in the wake of this technological revolution.

Meet our Panellists

Bola Adesina

Bola holds a Warwick MBA and offers Board advisory services to various initiatives as a Director, in AI Governance, through DEI and culture transformation. She is is moving on from her current role with L&G to pursue consultancy.

As a seasoned technologist and DEI expert with over 20+ years of experience across public and private sectors, Bola has developed a keen interest in artificial intelligence within the context of ethics, workplace management, and employee experience.

She helps firms deliver positive outcomes for their future of work ambition through tech and inclusive culture strategies. Bola’s unique perspective combines ethical and integrated workplace management solutions that enhance the employee experience and improve productivity and innovation within a hybrid working environment.

Belinda Djamson

Belinda is a managing director in Accenture UKI's Data & Artificial Intelligence practice focused on helping financial services clients deliver the future of banking powered by data & Al. She is also the capability lead for Sustainability across Data & Artificial Intelligence in Europe helping to use the power of data & Al to build differentiated ESG solutions for clients.

She has over 20 years' experience in data & analytics management combining deep industry expertise and advisory work across financial services and high-tech industries. Prior to joining Accenture, Belinda was the European head of data & analytics strategy at Dun & Bradstreet, responsible for transforming their core analytics products go to market strategy, including data management and governance. Prior to that, she spent 8 years at Deloitte and KPMG working as a data & analytics SME and leader for FS clients. She started her career in banking and capital markets at Lehman brothers before joining Microsoft to work on their SMB business analytics team.

Belinda is an awardee of the 'Twenty Women in Data & Tech' 2020 and is a thought leader on complex, data-led transformation underpinned by technology and Al. She has written various thought pieces on the same and presented at multiple industry forums and conferences. Belinda is committed to elevating women and underrepresented groups in data and artificial intelligence and is the executive sponsor for IED across the Analyst Consulting group, as well as the sponsor for Women in Data and Tech within Accenture.

Blake Bower

Blake studied his MBA at Warwick Business School between 2005-2008. Most recently Blake has been the Executive Director for the Digital Economy Unit for the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology where he has led policy to make the U.K. the best place to start and grow a digital business. He has also served as a member of the Bureau of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence within the Council of Europe, which recently agreed a new international treaty on Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law.
