Samina Karim is Professor and Group Chair of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business. Her research explores how firms grow and adapt through acquisitions, alliances, and corporate restructuring, with a particular focus on organization design and innovation through resource reconfiguration.

She has published extensively in top-tier journals and is recognized for her contributions to strategic management and innovation studies. Prior to joining Northeastern, she spent thirteen years at Boston University and began her career as an R&D software engineer at Hewlett-Packard.

Professor Karim holds a Ph.D. in Strategy and an M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan, an Ed.M. from Harvard University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Strategic Management Society and is President of the Consortium on Competitiveness and Cooperation (CCC). She previously chaired the Strategic Management Division of the Academy of Management and the Competitive Strategy Interest Group of the SMS
