Accelerator MBA (2025-2027)

Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m a versatile and results-oriented professional with global experience across strategy, business development, and project and stakeholder management, backed by a Master’s in International Business. I’m passionate about solving complex challenges, adapting across cultures, and driving impactful outcomes in diverse business environments.

Why did you choose Warwick Business School for your MBA?

My decision to pursue the Accelerator MBA at Warwick Business School (WBS) was driven by its unique ability to seamlessly integrate impactful blended learning with the practical demands of full-time work. I sought a programme that prioritised direct engagement and networking, while allowing for immersive, focused learning periods.

This commitment to a rich, face-to-face experience, combined with the programme's inherent flexibility, designed to support professionals balancing their careers, made WBS the standout choice. It truly offers the best of both worlds: a highly-regarded MBA that enables immediate application of learnings, all while accommodating my professional life.

What elements of the programme do you value the most and why?

While the modules, cohort, and global opportunities are undoubtedly valuable, I surprisingly find myself valuing the period after the intense module delivery and assignment submission the most. During the module itself, the pace can be incredibly rapid, sometimes leaving little room to fully internalise the depth of the material. However, once the immediate pressure of deadlines subsides, that's when the true learning and reflection really begin for me.

It's in this space that I can genuinely "wrap my head around" everything we've covered. This critical period allows the content to naturally integrate into my day-to-day thinking and professional challenges, sparking new perspectives and insights. I find myself taking conversations and ideas far beyond the confines of the module, actively exploring the concepts that particularly resonated with me and connecting them to real-world scenarios. This post-module reflection is where the knowledge truly transforms into applicable understanding and lasting impact.

How do you find the work/life balance?

Finding a work/life balance while pursuing my MBA, especially as an international student with significant travel, has been incredibly demanding. For instance, during the last module, I flew overnight from a business trip in Dubai to be in class by 9 AM. Beyond the in-person sessions, there's a substantial time commitment for readings, assignments, and reflecting on how the new learning applies to my career. It's often strenuous, pushing my limits.

However, despite these challenges, I genuinely believe it's absolutely worth it. The intensity of the programme, combined with managing my professional and personal life, has significantly enhanced my time management, resilience, and strategic thinking. It’s an investment that, while challenging in the short term, is yielding invaluable long-term benefits for my growth and career trajectory.

Do you have any advice for anyone currently thinking about studying for an MBA?

My strongest advice for anyone contemplating an MBA is: don't overthink it - just do it. The timing will genuinely never feel perfect. There will always be professional commitments, personal events, or financial considerations that make you second-guess if it's the right moment.

However, pursuing an MBA is an investment in yourself and your future that demands a certain leap of faith. The learning, networking, and career opportunities it unlocks are significant, and the sooner you embark on that journey, the sooner you'll start reaping those rewards. The key is to get started; the perfect conditions you're waiting for simply don't exist.
