Biography
Sangho Chae is an Associate Professor (Reader) in the Operations Management Group at Warwick Business School. Before joining Warwick, he held academic positions at Tilburg University and Marquette University.
His research examines the structure and evolution of supply networks, with a particular focus on the governance role of triadic closure and its implications for innovation, supply chain resilience, and corporate misconduct. He is also interested in the factors that drive structural change within supply networks. His work has appeared in leading journals, including the Journal of Operations Management, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of Supply Chain Management.
Sangho’s research has received several awards, including the Journal of Supply Chain Management 2024 Best Paper Award, the Best Competitive Paper Award at IPSERA 2025, the Chris Voss Best Paper Award at EurOMA 2022, and the Harry Boer Best Paper Award at EurOMA 2017. He also received the IJOPM 2025 Outstanding Associate Editor Award.
He currently serves as a Senior Editor for the Journal of Supply Chain Management and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Operations Management and the International Journal of Operations & Production Management.
Sangho holds a PhD from Arizona State University, an MSc from the University of Manchester, and a BBA from Yonsei University. Before beginning his academic career, he worked as a demand planner at Samsung Electronics Italia S.p.A.
