Full-time MBA Reunion - Class of 2008/9

24 September 2019

Alumni Relationship Manager, Pam Pinski looks back on a fantastic reunion event for our 2008/09 Full-time MBA class.

This August, alumni from all corners of the world descended on Warwick Business School to reunite and celebrate over ten years of change making.

We welcomed the Full-time MBA class of 2008/09 back to Warwick to reminisce about their time spent on campus, create new memories, and to introduce them to WBS London at The Shard. In the time since they graduated, the Warwick FTMBA has been ranked as the top Full-time MBA in the UK by The Economist.

The class was led by their reunion ambassadors, Sarah Zareian, Akshay Maheshwari and others who in true change maker style, encouraged members of their cohort to join them for an informal class barbecue outside the WBS Café on campus, and for a formal drinks reception on Level 17 at The Shard.

Alumni from as far afield as Australia, Thailand, India, Singapore, the US, Germany, and from all over the UK joined the reunion, highlighting the truly global nature of the WBS student body and alumni population.

Manu R Guptha said: “It doesn’t seem like 10 years since we passed out of WBS. It’s been an amazing journey so far with personal and professional success and great friendships – a large part of the credit goes to WBS. Thank you for a great get together and effort to put this together.”

Sudha Behuria Maheshwari, who met her husband while studying at Warwick, said: “Wonderful weekend at the place where it all came together. Thrilled to meet so many dear friends in one room. Thank you Warwick Business School for hosting us this weekend on campus and at The Shard. Look forward to another reunion in 10 years!”

The group were joined by Professor Ben Knight, who taught the group during their studies. Prof Knight said: “Many thanks for organising the reunion and for inviting me to attend. It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces from the past.”
