Finding a course that suited my schedule

Executive Diploma in Digital Leadership participant Taffy Sango-Moyo shares why flexibility was an important factor when selecting a programme.

Having completed and passed my Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Gloucestershire, I decided to embark on the Executive Diploma in Digital Leadership course to upskill my entrepreneurial skills.

I chose this course because of the flexible approach to the studying that Warwick Business School (WBS) offered, as this enabled me to study online during times when I had challenges travelling to London from Zimbabwe to attend face-to-face classes. The Executive Diploma timetable is structured in a way that enabled me to work and study at the same time. The flexible workshops enabled my travels from Zimbabwe to London to be enjoyable as I could attend classes and work simultaneously with minimum disruption to my work schedule.

I also had the privilege to attend some modules at WBS, The Shard on a face-to-face basis in London, which enriched my leadership experience through interactive workshops and critical discussions with colleagues, guest speakers with industry experience and WBS lecturers.

As a senior manager at Proucher Management Consultancy, a telecommunications company which is based in Zimbabwe, I chose the Executive Diploma as I wanted to develop strategic leadership skills in the digital space and assist the organisation in harnessing more digitisation opportunities.

After the acquisition of Business Management Skills through the MBA where I developed critical thinking skills in business and competitive strategies, I needed to broaden my thinking beyond the current trajectory. The Executive Diploma in Digital Leadership course became a strong option for the development of new digital skills as the global economy has been disrupted by information technology with new digital technologies transforming the global markets. The Executive Diploma became the answer to the digital challenges confronting Proucher Management Consultancy, and the digital leadership skills were paramount and strategic to the survival of the firm.
