WBS Faculty has strength and depth across the key areas of challenge for executives and organisations. On The Executive Diploma in Digital Leadership you will engage with, and be taught by, some of the world’s best researchers, business teachers and practitioners - all specialists in our Executive Diploma areas of focus.

All faculty members teaching on the Diploma are either research active academics producing the latest business theories, or Professors of Practice who are successful senior business and industry practitioners, and experts in facilitating research.

  • Paul McCarthy

    Client Director

    Paul joined Warwick as a researcher in Manufacturing Systems Simulation from Marconi Instruments St Albans. His
    original research and associated consultancy was focussed on developing operational planning and control systems for the UK Automotive and Aerospace sectors. Since then, he has tutored on UK industrial and international programmes at Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral levels. 
     

  • Kalina Staykova

    Assistant Professor

    Kalina joined Warwick Business School in 2021. Previously, Kalina worked for several years at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Her research focuses primarily on studying innovation and competition strategies within digital platforms. She is also conducting research within FinTech, where she investigates topics related to digital payment platforms, Open Banking, and blockchain. Kalina has work experience from large financial organizations in Denmark and strives to conduct research in close collaboration with industry. 


    Kalina acts as Associate Editor for Electronic Commerce Research and Applications and as a reviewer for a number of journals such as Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, and Internet Research. She is also a track co-chair for the "Blockhain and FinTech" track, part of the 2021 and 2022 European Conferences on Information Systems.

  • Shweta Singh

    Assistant Professor

    Shweta Singh is a Behavioral Data Science researcher at The Alan Turing Institute, London. She received her PhD in Information and Decision Sciences from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In addition, she holds a Masters in Computer Science and a Masters in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota.

    Her primary research interest lies in Artificial Intelligence(AI), Behavioral Data Science and exploring value creation through Information Technology. Her AI research involves designing next generation AI, which includes mitigating AI bias, designing Explainable AI (XAI), responsible AI and fighting Societal Injustice through AI. Further, she uses IT outsourcing, sharing economy platforms and digital platforms as contexts to understand business value of IT. 

  • Joe Nandhakumar

    Professor of Information Systems

    Joe's primary research interest focuses on the design and use of digital technology, and its implications for the nature of work and organisational interactions and engagement.

  • Pietro Micheli

    Professor of Business performance and innovation

    Professor Pietro Micheli joined Warwick Business School in 2012, where he has been Course Director of the Executive MBA and, since 2018, Course Director of the Distance Learning MBA programme (ranked #1 in the world by the Financial Times in 2018-2021). Previously, Pietro was Senior Lecturer at Cranfield School of Management and Research Fellow at the Advanced Institute of Management (AIM) Research in London.
