Taster Lecture: Design Thinking for Radical Change and Innovation

The Corona pandemic poses immediate threats to individuals, organizations and society. At the same time, it may also allow us to step back from current issues and identify novel opportunities.

In this webinar, we will discuss Design thinking as an approach to organisational change, innovation and problem-solving, which has proven particularly effective in situations characterised by ambiguity and complexity such as the current one.

Specifically, we will examine how various types of organisations have benefitted from an iterative process that combines exploration, ideation and implementation, and draws on effective tools and practices. In doing so, we will highlight differences between design thinking and typical management and leadership approaches, identifying key enablers and barriers to its introduction and use.
