Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Angélica, I am 27 years old and come from Mexico City. I am an engineer by education but a Brand Manager by heart.

What first attracted you to Warwick Business School?

What attracted me to WBS to start an MBA was the possibility of engaging with top-quality lecturers whilst being surrounded by other high-quality students from different backgrounds and with unique skills and personalities. I knew this would provide me with a stimulating environment that would be extremely beneficial to my personal and professional development and turns out… I was right! What has enriched my MBA experience by far is the people;  their stories and experiences are what make this a fascinating journey. 

What elements of the programme do you value the most and why?

Thanks to the carefully selected modules, I find myself having the amazing opportunity of developing my leadership skills whilst broadening my business vision from different perspectives. Furthermore, due to the flexibility of the programme, I can shape my study path as I prefer with a broad selection of elective module offers.

Has the Leadership module had an impact on your leadership style? If so, in what way?

If I had to describe with one word the Leadership module I would say “AWARENESS”. This specific lecture has exceeded my expectations since it is a course where I realised that self-reflection and empathy are key to thriving and becoming a “whole leader”. I learned of my own leadership nature and how to consciously adjust my style depending on the situation without sacrificing my authenticity.
