Research recently published in the Royal Society Open Science journal, describing the use of artificial intelligence to identify beautiful locations and understand what makes them appealing, was referenced by the Canal & River Trust in their report "Waterways and Wellbeing”. This has led to further interest in the research from UK Government.

In response to this interest, the researchers have worked with the University of Warwick (UoW) Faculty of Social Sciences, to produce a UoW policy briefing to disseminate to policy officials and other stakeholders.

The briefing paper can be viewed on the University of Warwick website here.
