Student Projects

A student project is the ideal way to gain targeted work on a business issue from a talented MBA or MSc student, equipped with the latest theories and practices. A project also provides the opportunity to test a candidate's suitability for a permanent position.

We will work with you to define the scope and desired deliverables of your project, advertise it for you and help you to recruit the right student.

Our MSc and MBA students are available to take part in corporate projects over the summer months (June-August).

The deadline to submit a brief for a project to be completed in summer 2022 is 11 February 2022. Please submit one brief for each project. For questions or to speak to one of the Employer Relations Team, please email

"The team at WBS have been wonderful in their support throughout the project process, starting with the project brief, the recruitment of the student and during the research project. The student has given us important insights about the views of NHS professionals about cloud based software and their use of clinical decision support software, and will hopefully help us in optimising the utility of future GE solutions."

Jan Wolber, GE Healthcare

"We had phenomenal interest in our project. I was more than happy with the support we received from WBS and massively impressed with the quality of candidates who put themselves forward for the project. The selected candidate was a credit to the Business School, working extremely hard on the project. She picked up the technical side quickly and produced some interesting models to help us understand our sales patterns, including trying to model the impact of weather on our sales - which is a challenge!”

Gillian Green, Community & Capability Manager, Sainsbury’s Argos
