Throughout the course, you’ll evaluate some of the key social and ethical risks arising from AI implementation in organisations, to support your understanding about strategies available to ensure responsible and fair AI usage.

Duration
This Postgraduate Award will run across four days of face-to-face teaching at our London base in the Shard, with a six week window to complete your assignments.
Structure
Each day of the course focuses on the opportunities and challenges surrounding AI and how emerging technologies can be integrated into business environments.
- Day one: Explore the foundational concepts, terminology, definitions and characteristics of AI and how its deployed in the real-world and deep dive into the competitive issues of AI
- Day two: Address new approaches to technology and the differences between emerging technologies such as machine learning, generative AI, with a focus on strategic and leadership challenges. Explore the competitive advantage of using AI in commercial, legal and business market contexts
- Day three: Discover how to incorporate AI and emerging technologies into managerial decision making and effective business operations
- Day four: Explore the risks associated with AI including ethical and cyber security risks. Understand the difference between ethics, regulation and governance for AI as well as the major constructs in ethical AI and new digital human rights. Panel discussion with AI practitioners from industry.
To consolidate your learning you will be asked to complete a reflective assignment, consisting of a 4,000-word essay.
