Tell us about yourself
We do not normally interview candidates so do make sure your UCAS form contains information about your academic and extra-curricular achievements to show us why you are interested in joining us.
Personal Statement
Some universities and courses put more reliance on your personal statement than others, but you should always assume that it is important. We make considerable use of the personal statement in coming to decisions about you. Some of our courses are so competitive (for example, with 10 or more applicants per place) that we cannot possibly make offers to everyone whose predictions meet our typical offer.
There is no single correct way to write your personal statement. The key is that it really should be personal. Course selectors and admissions staff want an insight into your personality and your motivation for having applied to university to study a certain subject.
Find tips and advice on how to write your personal statement.
Processing your application
A decision on your application will be notified to you via UCAS Track and, if your application is successful, via email. You should ensure that your system is configured to accept messages from @warwick.ac.uk addresses.
We receive many thousands of applications per year, and we are committed to giving equal consideration to all applications that reach us by the UCAS deadline of January 15. This means that we are not always able to make decisions quickly, so please bear with us if you do not hear immediately. You can rest assured that your application is still under consideration.
You can track the status of your application online, and you will also receive email updates on its progress from the Undergraduate Admissions Team.
If you gain a place with us
Offers may be conditional on you meeting academic, language, or other requirements. Don't worry about this - many students have conditional offers. Once you have met your conditions, the offer will automatically be made unconditional.
If you are taking A Levels, the International Baccalaureate or pre-Us, we will normally receive your exam results directly from UCAS. However, if you are taking qualifications from a country other than the UK, or UK qualifications such as an Access to HE course or a foundation degree, we will NOT receive these results from UCAS. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your results are sent to us, and we ask you to do this as soon as they are available.

Language requirements
If English is not your first language, you must meet a minimum overall standard in a recognised test of English. You must show a good balance across all sections of the test, and it must have been taken within two years starting the course. We will require your certificates as evidence.
English language test minimum score
Educated in the English language?
If you are a non-native speaker of English but have been educated entirely in English this may satisfy the University of your language skills. Please read their information carefully.
Pre-sessional English
We do not offer a pre-sessional English class as an alternative to achieving these scores. Any pre-sessional course should be viewed as a way of settling into living and studying in the UK and not as a way of boosting your score.
Further information
Please see the University’s page for English language requirements.
